”We want to gather good forces and create a capitol of entrepreneurship and innovation here. I think that if we can pool our strengths, we will be stronger as a whole,” says CEO at Oslo Innovation Center (Forskningsparken) Karl-Christian Agerup.

The mission of the Oslo Innovation Center is to develop commercially viable research projects into profitable enterprises. The company is owned by the University of Oslo and the Municipality of Oslo, and others.

Oslo Innovation Center aims to be one of the leading centers in Europe for innovation and industrial development. The center houses more than 140 companies with 1700 employees.

”Norway is a good place to start up, largely due to the very stable work force. Employee turnover is not as high as in places like Silicon Valley,” says Agerup. He also stresses that the population is highly educated, has good command of English, and is known for a well-established  commercial mentality.
