Public Service Summit 2011 comes to Oslo

The Public Service Summit is celebrating its 10th anniversary by bringing the event to Oslo for the first time after nine years in Stockholm. Cisco, the company behind the annual conference, has teamed up with Oslo Teknopol as their co-host for this year’s event.

The Public Service Summit 2011 will take place at Clarion Hotel Royal Christiana on 9-11 December. The theme of this year’s event is Empowering the Edge: Boosting Resiliency and Productivity in the Public Sector:

«Spurred by the needs of changing the societies and economic conditions, public sector leaders are creating new paradigms for how government, healthcare and education responsibilities are being envisioned, designed and implemented. Cisco and Oslo Teknopol believe that at technology has a crucial role to play in supporting these changes, and the summit provides a platform for industry through leaders to exchange ideas  and help advance the global public sector agenda.»

Speakers include Nobel laureates and ministers, and 300 public sector leaders from around 30 nations are expected to attend. The mayor of Oslo, Mr Fabian Stang, will open the three-day conference. More information about the summit and the program can be found here.
